1590 DAYS later...Not All Who Wander Are Lost

Today was monumental! Totally going down in the history books for the wandering Evans family.

!!!!!We were approved for a house!!! (Okay, with a loving help.) It will be our place, not borrowed, not time stamped for a retun date, just our space. Yes, it needs work, but oh, how we can we make it work!

AND

Mark has work. Work that he can love and grow into. Full time hours and pay!!

My heart is squeezing with anticipation, a "Can this really be happening?" feeling, and overflowing with the amazingness of a loving Heavenly Father. On June 1, 2010 Mark was laid off from a job he loved in Arizona, which was the beginning of a very long 4 year journey - that is 53 months, 1590 days and a whole lot of heartache and moves later.  Whether his unemployment journey has ceased or there is just a hopeful end in sight, we are more than ecstatic and immensely grateful for the opportunity for the positive change and growth.

I am so relieved that we may at long last be able to provide for our family! I am thrilled that Mark was blessed to work with a man over a year ago that has lead to the wonderful and humbling possibility of Mark assuming his business as he prepares to retire. What a joyful day!!! Mark was unemployed/underemployed last week, and will be acclimating to Vice-president and then OWNER!! It is such a wonderous miracle.

I am so overjoyed at the possibilities for him and us! I am extremely grateful for family support, prayers, faith and more prayers that have sustained and lifted us up!  We have been so blessed to meet so many wonderful people that have influenced us for good. We've had amazing opportunities that have led us across several different states, and are so glad for the hope you have instilled, the courage you demonstrated and the examples you have shared.  I am grateful for you!

Let me introduce you to our new place.
Hello new house! We are excited to stretch your walls, scrape the ceilings, replace all light fixtures, repair the roof, and make lots of memories.

Hello guest house, school house, play room, reading room, and maybe an office with a view.

Hello mancave that looks like a caboose or a submarine, we don't know what secrets you hold, but the quirky windows on top and the tiny garage door make us very curious. Pirate treasure room? Carriage house? Sauna?

Hello dining room, kitchen expansion, office, piano room, are you ready for company?

Hello fire pit and garden space!

Hello 2 car garage, building zone, Santa's workshop, laundry room.

Sign dates, move-out/move-in dates are still awhile away. There will be plenty to keep us out of trouble as we make the house more liveable... Would you like to be our first house visitors?
